Environmental Advocacy
An organization that is building a grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis. Their online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by thousands of volunteer organizers in over 188 countries. ASPI & KSP have organized actions with 350.org and the Frankfort Climate Action Network since 2007.

Network of NGO's whose goal is to promote government and individual action to
limit human-induced climate change to ecologically sustainable levels.
Critical Mass Energy Project
The Critical Mass Energy Project is sponsored by the public interest group
Public Citizen. Their site contains background literature, congressional
testimony, fact sheets, and publication lists for a variety of energy related
legislation.
Frankfort Climate Action Network
A local citizen's group in Frankfort, Kentucky working to raise awareness and take practical steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Frankfort and Franklin County.

Council for Local Environmental Initiatives
ICLEI is building and supporting a worldwide movement of local governments to
improve global environmental conditions through local actions. More than 240
cities, towns, and counties as members. Their site includes project
descriptions, newsletters, and a "tools guide" for local governments.
Kentucky Conservation Committee
KCC is the state's only organization dedicated solely to providing a non-partisan voice for Kentucky 's environmental community in Frankfort . KCC works to make sound environmental stewardship a priority for elected officials and voters.
Kentucky Sustainable Energy Alliance
The Kentucky Sustainable Energy Alliance (KySEA) works to promote clean, sustainable and affordable energy solutions for Kentucky. Union of Concerned Scientists
UCS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing responsible public
policies in areas where science and technology play a critical role. The UCS
web site includes an in-depth examination of global warming as well as energy
efficiency, renewable energy, and transportation issues.

Defense Council
NRDC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the world's natural
resources and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all. Their site
includes many documents on energy efficiency under the air/energy program.
"RealClimate is a commentary site on climate science by working climate scientists for the interested public and journalists. They aim to provide a quick response to developing stories and provide the context sometimes missing in mainstream commentary."

Alliance to Save Energy
A coalition of prominent business, government,
environmental and consumer leaders who promote the efficient and clean use of
energy worldwide to benefit consumers, the environment, economy, and national
security. Their site includes summaries of Alliance programs, links to Alliance

Economy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as

EREN is an enormous database and search engine on
all aspects of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The site provides access
to a wealth of information about renewable energy and energy efficient
technologies.
Energy Efficient Building Association
EEBA promotes energy-efficient and environmentally
responsible buildings and communities. Their site includes an electronic
bookstore, links to sponsors, conference information, and member news.
Energy Star Products and Programs
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the
Department of Energy are promoting the purchase and use of energy-efficient
appliances and equipment by awarding the Energy Star label. Their site includes
programs descriptions, product specifications, lists of qualifying products and
manufacturers, news and updates.
Federal Fuel Economy Site
The new Federal Fuel Economy website provides
official miles-per-gallon numbers for Model Year 2000 cars and light trucks.
This newly enhanced government website now includes features for comparing
vehicles by fuel cost and global warming pollution.
Green Lights Program of the US EPA
The U.S. EPA Green Lights Program encourages the
widespread use of energy-efficient lighting. Their site includes a list of
Green Lights participants, support services, and on-line manuals and
publications.

quality, comfort, and energy efficiency. The Home Energy web site includes an
index to all feature articles, some full articles, and energy links.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Energy Efficiency &
Renewable Energy Program
Scientists and engineers at ORNL conduct a wide
range of basic and applied research and development to advance the nation's
energy resources, environmental quality, scientific knowledge, educational
foundations, and economic competitiveness. Their energy efficiency and
renewable energy program web site includes on-line publications, databases,
project descriptions, and news.

With Energyguide.com, you can learn how to lower
your energy bills, through selecting a new supplier, replacing equipment in
your home, or changing the way you use energy. You can also learn how your
choices impact the environment. ENERGYguide offers, for sale, a growing list of
high quality products to help reduce your energy costs along with the
information you need to guide your decisions. Many of the products bear the
ENERGY STAR? label from the Environmental Protection Agency. The site also has
interactive features.

This site offers an online home energy audit
program and access to resources related to home energy efficiency. Nexus sells
